In the middle of this 2017 we dictate the workshop “Art and Design in Videogames“. It consisted in two days of theoretical talks on game design and script, visual representation and color and graphic design in video games.
The workshop consisted of the following objectives. Introduce students to the world of videogames, re-link art with design and have a first experience designing the idea of a game.
The teaching team consisted of a multidisciplinary team. A musician and audiovisual producer Juan Martin Otegui, Jerónimo Veroa a visual artist, Gonzalo D´alessandro a musician and the graphic designers Alejandra Mendoza and Luis Roach. The practice consisted of making a synopsis, sketching characters, bring them to 3D using plasticine and define the game mechanics with their gameplay progressions.
